Bookkeeping Services in Riyadh

Monthly bookkeeping, bank reconciliations and VAT-ready records for small and growing businesses in Riyadh, delivered in English and Arabic on a fixed monthly scope.

Riyadh

Bookkeeping for Riyadh businesses

Accurate, current books are the starting point for every tax filing, management decision and conversation with a lender.

Our bookkeeping service is designed for SMEs that do not have a full in-house finance team, startups setting up their first accounting routines, and foreign-owned companies that have established a Saudi entity and need local records that also report cleanly back to the parent group.

When bookkeeping falls behind, the problems tend to surface at the worst moment: a VAT return that is difficult to support, a Zakat computation built on balances nobody has reconciled, or a bank asking for management accounts that do not yet exist. Keeping the books up to date each month means that information is already in place when it is needed, rather than being reconstructed under time pressure.

Lenders, investors and landlords increasingly expect to see regular, reliable financial information. A consistent monthly routine gives owners a clear view of performance and cash, and gives third parties confidence in the figures they are shown.

What We Offer

What our bookkeeping service includes

Each engagement is scoped around your transaction volumes and reporting needs. A typical monthly service covers:

  • Transaction recording and coding to an agreed chart of accounts
  • Bank and card reconciliations, with unexplained items followed up
  • Accounts payable: supplier invoices, payment runs and ledger maintenance
  • Accounts receivable: customer invoicing support, ledgers and debtor ageing
  • Payroll journals and payroll control account reconciliations
  • Monthly close, including accruals, prepayments and balance sheet review
  • VAT-ready ledgers, with input and output tax recorded and reconciled
  • Monthly management reports showing performance, cash and key balances

The aim is a set of books that is reconciled, explainable and ready for review at the end of every month.

Compliance

VAT, Zakat and e-invoicing ready

We keep records in a way that supports your VAT returns, with transactions coded consistently, tax recorded against the correct periods and the supporting invoices retained and easy to locate. Return workings can be prepared directly from reconciled ledgers.

The same records support Zakat computations at year-end. Clean, reconciled balances make it much simpler to prepare the information needed and to respond to any follow-up questions.

We also help businesses keep invoicing and record-keeping aligned with ZATCA e-invoicing requirements, including checking that the accounting system and invoicing process capture the information required. Requirements, rates and timelines depend on each business’s circumstances and change over time, so they should always be confirmed against current guidance from ZATCA. Our Saudi VAT and Zakat support covers compliance planning in more detail.

Systems

Software we work with

Businesses in Saudi Arabia use a wide range of cloud accounting packages and ERP systems, from cloud tools suited to small companies through to larger ERP platforms used by groups and growing mid-sized businesses.

In most cases we can work within the system you already use. Where your current setup is no longer a good fit, for example because transaction volumes have grown or e-invoicing requirements call for changes, we can help you assess the options, plan the migration around your reporting calendar and set up a chart of accounts that meets both local and group reporting needs.

Process

How it works

01

Initial review

We review your current records, systems, bank accounts and transaction volumes to understand where the books stand and what is needed.

02

Fixed monthly scope

We agree what is included each month, the documents we need from you and the timetable, and confirm a fixed monthly fee for that scope.

03

Monthly close and report

Each month we record transactions, complete reconciliations, close the period and send you a management report with a short commentary.

04

Ongoing support

We answer day-to-day questions, support VAT and year-end preparation, and adjust the scope as your business grows.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions

Do you offer bookkeeping in Arabic and English?

Yes. We can work with source documents, invoices and correspondence in Arabic and English, and prepare management reports in English, with Arabic support where your team or stakeholders need it.

Can you catch up on months of backlog bookkeeping?

Yes. We can bring records up to date for the months that have fallen behind, reconcile bank and ledger balances, and then move you onto a regular monthly routine so the backlog does not build up again.

Do I need to be based in Riyadh to use your service?

No. The service is designed for businesses in Riyadh, but we work largely remotely, so companies elsewhere in Saudi Arabia, and international groups with a Saudi entity, can use it in the same way.

Can you file our VAT return?

We prepare the records and VAT return workings so the return can be reviewed and submitted. Submission through ZATCA follows the applicable rules on who may file, and where filing must be made by the taxpayer or an authorised party, we coordinate with them.
